Get down in history

A former rope mill dating back to the 1800s, the historic Eskmills is now home to East Lothian’s most popular Christmas hospitality and party venue. With some party nights selling out by June last year, we think 2017 will be even more sensational! Easily accessed, close to transport links and with superb facilities, ours is a smart and impressive venue where the high-octane party atmosphere is balanced by a sophisticated bar.

The design is sleek, the staff are slick: the bar at Eskmills Venue is one of our star attractions, always fully-stocked with party favourites, and drinks are reasonably priced, from local draught beer to bottles of fizz and classic cocktails. We also have a team of bubbly Christmas helpers who will serve drinks to your table.

The more the merrier

If you’re looking for a big Christmas venue in Edinburgh or Mid and East Lothian, then Eskmills will fit the bill. There aren’t many places that can seat up to 350 for dinner or for a drinks, but we can. We also welcome smaller private parties (minimum 80 people) and can swish our twinkling fairy light curtain to cleverly make the room as small or as big as you like. Our Party Nights are also great way for a smaller group to enjoy the vibe of Christmas celebration.

How to find us

Eskmills Venue is located within Eskmills Park – by the banks of the River Esk in the easily accessible town of Musselburgh, just outside Edinburgh. See below for details of how to find us. If you’re coming by car, we have plenty of free parking on site, and bicycle parking is also available.

Getting here by bus
Bus numbers 44, 15, 26, 40, 113 leave from Edinburgh, and you can plan your journey at lothianbuses.com. We are within 500 metres of the bus stop, so it should only take you a few minutes to get to Eskmills Venue. Within East Lothian, the 124 from North Berwick offers a regular service provided by First Bus – you can plan your journey here: www.firstgroup.com

Getting here by train
The train is a 5 minute journey from Edinburgh Waverley, with trains at least every hour. Visit www.scotrail.co.uk to plan your journey. Once you arrive in Musselburgh, it is only a 10 minute walk.

Getting here by car
By car, we are a 20 minute drive from the city centre following the A1. For road travel updates check: trafficscotland.org

Driving an electric car? The nearest charging point is in Eskmills Business Park. There are two charging points available operated by Charge Your Car and both have a power output of 7.0kW with a Type 2 Mennekes socket.
